One Christmas Eve a long time ago, a baby crawled into Santa’s bag of toys… Raised as an elf, Buddy grows into an adult three times larger than the biggest elf – and realises that he will never truly fit in at the North Pole. This holiday season, Buddy goes looking for his true place in the world – in New York City. Buddy finds his workaholic father -who’s on Santa’s “naughty” list, a new mother and a 10-year-old brother who doesn’t believe in Santa Claus or elves. HOME ALONE

All Kevin McCallister wants for Christmas is for his family to disappear. So when he wakes to discover that they have accidentally left for their Christmas trip without him and that his wish has come true, he does what any kid would do – he parties! But when he learns that two burglars with a Christmas list of their own are working their way up the block, he is forced to defend the family home on his own and sets about decking the halls with ingenious traps to hold the thieves at bay until his relatives come home.

IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE

Beset with personal and professional problems, George Bailey finds his previously happy life falling apart around him on Christmas Eve. Seeing no way out, George considers suicide from the edge of a bridge – but Clarence, his guardian angel, intervenes and shows George what his beloved hometown of Bedford Falls would be like without him. DIE HARD

On Christmas Eve, tough New York detective John McClane arrives in Los Angeles with the aim of reconciling with his estranged wife, Holly at the Christmas party of her employer, the Nakatomi Corporation. When the party is disrupted by a group of heavily armed criminals led by the charismatic Hans Gruber, McClane evades capture and begins a one-man war against the hostage takers who are attempting to rob the corporation whilst occupying the LAPD and the FBI by posing as terrorists. Outmanned, outgunned and ill-equipped for the task at hand, McClane calls in the help of a local beat cop in his crusade against Gruber.

CBEEBIES: NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

The annual CBeebies Christmas Show is back in cinemas. This year, the story is THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS and it is sprinkled with plenty of CBeebies magic, festive music, stunning dance performances and a star cast of presenters and on-screen talent. Fun for all the family!
