Fifth Birthday Party

Celebrating Five Years of The Chiswick Cinema

We're throwing a party to celebrate the cinema's fifth anniversary since opening and we'd love you to join us. We've handpicked four films to highlight what it is we do best; a nostalgic cinephilic classic; a big screen crowd-pleasing musical; an intimate, carefully curated Q&A; and even a preview of a character-driven indie.

The screenings are:
+ 'LA LA LAND [10th Anniversary]' - the irresistibly heartfelt musical starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.
+ 'THEY NEVER SLEPT' - Simon Callow and Margy Kinmonth are at the cinema in Q&A for our Simon Gray retrospective
+ 'CINEMA PARADISO' - Andrea Carnevali continues our popular Film Club strand with this life-affirming
ode to the movies
+ 'THE SUMMER BOOK [Preview]' - A special preview of this poetic, poignant film stars a magnificent Glenn Close.

Tickets include a complimentary prosecco or juice, and there will be complimentary jazz from our house musicians; stalls from our sponsors and partners; and exciting announcements where you can be the first to find out what's coming up at the cinema later in the year.

The first 100 people to arrive will even get their hands on a treat-laden Chiswick Cinema tote bag.

THANK YOU CHISWICK!

We're so grateful for the way the local community have embraced the cinema. Whether it's been through regular film attendance or through hosting and curating events with us, the support we've seen has been truly appreciated and transformative for what is the first cinema in Chiswick since 1934.

As the wider exhibition and hospitality landscape continues to undergo its challenges, we're so lucky to have such a supportive and welcoming local area to work with. Long may it continue!
