Little Bao Boy is a proudly independent street food brand originating in Leeds, serving up bold, homemade bao buns and Asian-inspired dishes with a modern twist. Founded in 2016 by James Ooi, Little Bao Boy started in a home kitchen and quickly grew into a recognised name on the UK street food scene.
In 2020, James was joined by JB to help scale the business, taking it from one small site to multiple locations. No matter how far we’ve come, we’ve stayed true to our northern roots and our commitment to fun, flavour-packed food. Our passionate team brings bao buns and street food that UK fans can rely on for taste, creativity, and a good craic.

New, local and independent. The market is held on the fourth Sunday of every month on Chiswick High Road.
We run the biggest street food competition in the world. We launched the British Street Food Awards 15 years ago, and in 2007 launched the European Street Food Awards - now in 16 European countries.
At the end of 2023 we launched the USA Street Food Awards. Food St - our new, local and independent market in London - is finally putting all of that knowledge to some use.
