Film Club returns across 2026 where you can dive into film history and technique with handpicked classics. Featuring a friendly introduction and a post-film sociable discussion with film-maker Andrea Carnevali.

About Sarah Cook: A freelance film journalist and film festival digital marketing manager. She is also a historical fiction author who has written several books including Diary of Murders, A Maze of Monsters & Men, and The Elaborations. She is obsessed with the Victorian era. In her spare time, Sarah is an active member of the Victorian Society and likes to explore the weird wonders of the UK. She lives with her two cats Jekyll and Bennett in Northamptonshire.

About Rob Sprackling: An award-winning screenwriter and director. He conceived and co-wrote the original screenplay for Disney’s GNOMEO & JULIET starring Emily Blunt and James McAvoy with music by Elton John. It was number one in most territories worldwide and took $200m at the box office. He conceived and co-wrote the animated feature THE QUEENS CORGI for nWave, starring Jack Whitehall. It took $50m at the worldwide box office and was number one in France and the Netherlands. He conceived, wrote and is currently co-directing an original animated feature FLAMINGO FLAMENCO for Studio100 tipped as one of the '26 to watch in 2026' by Animation Magazine. He wrote the animated feature HEIDI: RESCUE OF THE LYNX which came out in cinemas worldwide in 2025 and has been nominated for numerous awards. He also wrote the screenplay for the animated movie RALLY FROM PARIS TO THE PYRAMIDS (aka FLAKLYPA) which came out in its home territory of Norway on Christmas Day 2025 with the biggest opening weekend of the year. He has written for most Hollywood Studios including Disney and Dreamworks and for Working Title, BBC Films and Aardman Animation in the UK, including punch ups on the Oscar nominated SHAUN THE SHEEP movie and EARLY MAN. He conceived and wrote the live action comedy feature MIKE BASSETT: ENGLAND MANAGER which was one of the top 5 British films in the UK in the year of its release. He subsequently co-wrote and exec produced the spinoff sitcom for ITV which averaged 3 million viewers per episode.
