About Clueless the Musical

This season is presented by Clueless The Musical, a ‘fun, fabulous’ (Independent) ‘a non-stop party’ (Radio Times) now showing at our sister site the Trafalgar Theatre.

The energetic production features a charming book by Amy Heckerling, the original film’s writer-director, with an evocative original score by KT Tunstall and lyrics by Glenn Slater.

Clueless (30th Anniversary)

A rich high school student tries to boost a new pupil’s popularity, but reckons without affairs of the heart getting in the way. The film boasts a sharp reinvention of EMMA for its script, and a standout performance from Alicia Silverstone. This is a veritable cult classic and is widely regarded as one of the best teen comedies of all time.

Pride and Prejudice (20th Anniversary)

Joe Wright’s captivating adaptation stars Keira Knightley and Matthew MacFadyen. Although there is obvious chemistry between the two characters, Mr Darcy’s overly reserved nature threatens the fledgling relationship in this fresh and enjoyable film.

Bridget Jones’s Diary

A British woman is determined to improve herself while she looks for love in a year in which she keeps a personal diary in this relentlessly charming modern spin on PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Renee Zellwegger – what more do you need?

Parent and Baby screening included.

Mansfield Park

More entangled amours and beautifully drawn characters feature in this potent and underrated adaptation which follows a young woman sent to live with her wealthy relatives at a grand estate. Featuring Frances O’Connor, Harold Pinter, Lindsay Duncan, Alessandro Nivola and more.

Emma

Reimagined as CLUELESS and now CLUELESS THE MUSICAL, this lively film follows Gwyneth Paltrow as she enjoys playing matchmaker for those around her. Charming, auspicious and elegant entertainment with profound chemistry.

Parent and Baby screening included.
